  • Part-time Docmanov Vineyards & Winery is seeking an experienced Tasting Room Associate with prior tasting room work and a strong command of wine terminology .
You will guide guests through memorable tastings, share our winemaking story, and represent our brand with warmth and professionalism. This role requires reliable weekend availability (Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm) plus flexibility for extended hours during events (either earlier start or later evening). If you speak the language of wine and enjoy creating exceptional guest experiences, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide outstanding hospitality throughout their visit Lead guided tastings, using proper wine terminology (body, tannins, acidity, varietals, finish, terroir) to describe our wines Process sales efficiently using Square POS (including cash handling and wine club sign-ups) Upsell bottles, wine club memberships, and event tickets in a natural, guest-friendly way Assist with event setup and service (private tastings, weddings, festivals, winemaker dinners)
  • may require arriving early or staying late Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including glassware, counters, and restrooms Follow all food safety and responsible alcohol service guidelines Restock wines, merchandise, and tasting supplies as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of tasting room or wine bar experience Working knowledge of wine language (able to describe wines using industry terminology) Available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am-5pm Willing and able to work extended hours for events (e.
g., 9am-1pm early setup or 5pm-10pm evening events) Comfortable with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems Strong customer service and upselling skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs (wine cases, supplies) Preferred (Not Required) Banquet, catering, or fine dining experience Experience serving at large-group events (50+ guests) Familiarity with food and wine pairing principles Schedule Regular shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
