Cellar Tech Saint Helena, CA Apply Job Description:
Small, quality-focused Napa Valley winery looking to connect with qualified candidates for a full-time cellar position. This role is hands-on and supports all aspects of wine production, from harvest through bottling. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a small production team.Responsibilities:
- Assist with grape receiving and sorting during harvest
- Perform fermentation management, including punch downs, pump overs, and related cellar work
- Operate and clean winery equipment and machinery
- Conduct racking, blending, additions, and barrel work
- Assist with bottling preparation and bottling operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in the cellar
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of winery or cellar experience preferred
- Strong interest in winemaking and cellar operations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in cellar and harvest conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during harvest season
- Forklift experience is a plus
