Our low-cost liquid-phase nano-coating addresses critical electrode-surface degradation issues and enables batteries with a Silicon-dominant anode that have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost/kWh compared to current LIBs. Our Si anode material is lower than the cost of graphite and 100% domestically sourced. We strive to transform the global automotive market by enabling low-cost and long-range EVs as a first step towards net-zero sustainability in the near future.
Position:
We are looking for an experienced Electrode Production Engineer to lead a team responsible for all aspects of electrode fabrication. Ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, proactive in problem solving and able to wear many hats. This role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and scalability of electrode production while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.Core Responsibilities :
Lead production of electrodes, including all aspects of slurry mixing, coating and calendering for Coreshell's 60Ah-scale batteries Work hands-on on all processes while managing a team of technicians and engineers Plan and execute electrode production on a daily basis Improve production yield, throughput, cost efficiency and cell performance Coordinate maintenance and improvement of all equipment used in electrode fabrication Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training documents Maintain process and quality documentation systems and report on quality and productivity to drive continuous improvement Transfer new electrode formulations and processes from small scale to production. Validate scalability while ensuring compliance with expected performance and identifying and finding solutions for scaling issues encountered Must be comfortable performing some manual tasks such as lifting weights no heavier than 25kg.Required Qualifications and Experience:
B.S. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or similarly relevant field 4+ years of experience in the battery industry Background in battery production or process development involving electrode fabrication (mixing, coating or calendering) Background in R D and/or process development of other aspects of lithium-ion batteries is a plus Experience with operating and maintaining complex machinery Familiarity with chemistry lab safety protocols. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining safe, tidy, and organized work areasLocation & Benefits:
