Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc in Menlo Park is seeking a full-time Wine Steward who has a passion for fine wine and enthusiasm for customer service. Flexibility in scheduling, including early evenings and weekends, is a must. Draeger's is a family-owned grocery store that satisfies a variety of grocery needs. We offer a blend of gourmet items, international and natural foods, prepared foods/bakery products, meat, wine, catering, beverages and cookware products.

Reports to:

Wine Manager.

Pay:

$24.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provide excellent customer service - greet customers in a friendly manner. Answer any wine inquiries and assist customers in selecting wine, beer, and spirits based on their preferences, budget, and occasions. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed. Support wine department during special events, tastings, and promotions. Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in wine and liquor retail preferred. Knowledge of and adherence to California ABC Laws and regulations. Friendly, professional, and helpful attitude toward customers and coworkers. Is proactive, quick on their feet, organized and engaged. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to work a variety of shifts. Reliable and punctual. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
