Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery Sebastopol, CA Apply Job Description:
Harvest Cellar Assistant Position Marimar Estate is a prestigious winery in the Russian River Valley that produces highly acclaimed Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Albariño, Godello, and Tempranillo from its own estate vineyards.
Job Summary:
Opportunity to learn all areas of winemaking from grape sampling, fruit processing, fermentation, and wine aging. No experience required but preferred. Reporting to the Production Manager / Vineyard Manager, the Harvest Cellar Assistant will assist in the day-to-day winemaking operations in the Cellar while ensuring a safe working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with a positive attitude
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible schedule that allows to work various shifts and overtime as needed
  • Ability to enter tight spaces to perform tasks
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.
  • Forklift experience a plus
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cellar tasks including but not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing cellar fittings, hoses, tanks, barrels, and wine processing equipment
  • Additions to wine and juice
  • Wine Movement:
    Racking, blending, barrel filling, etc.
  • Fermentation monitoring, cap management
  • General cellar cleaning
  • Any other tasks assigned by manager .
