Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing engaging and informative tastings of our wines or spirits Educate visitors about the products, including details about flavor profiles, production processes, and pairing suggestions Operate POS systems such as Square to process sales accurately and efficiently Upsell additional products or experiences to enhance guest enjoyment and increase sales opportunities, like wine club! Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, ensuring all samples are prepared according to safety standards Assist with menu planning for tastings or special events, collaborating with culinary or event teams as needed Handle cash transactions responsibly, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to food safety regulations Requirements Previous experience in wine service or the wine industry is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as square is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor Experience in serving or banquet settings is advantageous Knowledge of wine and wine production with excel you in this position. Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive guest experience Demonstrated understanding of alcohol safety standards and proper wine handling procedures Culinary experience or background is beneficial but not required Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate guests effectively in order to promote sales. This is a sales position.
