Job Description

Create a Harvest Help Alert 2026 Harvest Cellar Intern
SCRIBE Winery Sonoma, CA Apply Job Description:
SCRIBE Winery is located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, where we produce wines from our own 100-acre estate as well as other select sites throughout Sonoma and Napa County. We work with a wide array of varieties including Riesling, Sylvaner, Mission, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, made in an equally wide array of styles including sparkling, vermouth, rose, still reds and whites, and beyond. Together, our 7-person production team focuses on making balanced wines that represent our sites. During the entire year, but especially over the harvest months, we work closely with one another and value collaboration, open conversation, a drive to learn, experimentation, and having fun. We work hard to establish a culture that is familial and fun which often involves cooking lunch for each other, sharing wines at meals and doing comparative tastings and playing the occasional game of hammerschlagen. We're looking to hire a few passionate and engaged individuals interested in joining our fabulous team as cellar interns. Our cellar interns will be involved in all aspects of the winemaking process including operating different kinds of pumps, running the presses, cap management, wine transfer, fermentation monitoring, foot treading, sorting, operating our crush line, barrel work, forklifting, and much more! With all the different styles of wine that we make there is never a dull moment, and you will learn so much. We are a passionate group of winemakers who love what we do and are more than happy to train you and teach you everything that we know. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get lots of hand-on winemaking experience and work closely with the winemakers. Start date is late July/early August and our harvest typically goes until late October. Depending on work needs there is the opportunity to stay on longer after harvest to help out in the off-season.
