Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Tasting Room Associate, where your enthusiasm and hospitality skills will create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you'll serve as the welcoming face of our winery or tasting room, guiding visitors through tastings, sharing our story, and fostering a warm, engaging atmosphere. Your passion for food, wine, and exceptional customer service will drive sales and elevate the guest experience, making each visit special and inspiring repeat visits. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide engaging tours of the tasting room and winery facilities. Conduct tastings confidently, describing flavor profiles and pairing suggestions to enhance guest enjoyment. Upsell products and experiences by recommending wine selections, merchandise, or food pairings to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting area, ensuring all samples are fresh and presentation is appealing. Process transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast including cash handling and credit card processing. Assist with menu planning for tastings or events, collaborating with culinary teams to showcase food and wine pairings. Support event setup and breakdown for special tastings, private events, or banquets while adhering to food safety standards. Maintain detailed records of sales, inventory levels, and guest feedback to improve service quality continuously. Skills Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments such as restaurants, catering, or banquets. Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach that creates a welcoming atmosphere. Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety practices within the food industry. Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining genuine guest engagement through sales techniques like suggestive selling. Previous experience in fine dining or wine tasting environments preferred. Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail in food handling and presentation.
