There may be miscellaneous tasks involved with assisting other back-of-house departments. Ideal candidates would have interest or experience working in a kitchen/brewery environment. The Brewing Assistant position is a part-time hourly position with a starting hourly rate of $17.00/hr. After 90 days, employees are eligible for comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, STD/LTD, and voluntary life insurance. Brewing Using brewing equipment in the approved format to produce coffee cold products Using proper equipment to pump and transfer brewed coffee to storage vessels Execute Daily pars for production of iced coffee (retail/canning/wholesale keg count plus backups) Cleanliness Adhere to cleaning schedules and procedures Pooling liquid, stains or other unsightly messes must be cleaned throughout the day Regular cleaning of all kegs brewing & packaging equipment, brite tanks and our workspace Taking pH readings of cleaning chemical tanks every kegwashing run, as well as weekly draining and replenishing of tanks Safety Works diligently to foster a safe work space for self and co-workers Adheres to SOPs Appropriate safety attire is worn (steel toe boots, goggles, back braces, etc) Maintenance Changing wear parts on kegs Helping baristas troubleshoot draft issues Miscellaneous part replacement delegated by the Brewing Manager Quality Control Alert QC manager when anomalies occur with products Daily interaction with the production log (entering batch data, recording allocated kegs and account information, etc.) Taking can seam measurements at the beginning of every canning run
