Full-Time 93 Octane Brewery is seeking a skilled, self-motivated Brewer to manage brewing operations at our Elmhurst taproom. This role is ideal for an experienced brewer who thrives working independently, takes ownership of their brewhouse, and understands the importance of consistency, cleanliness, and quality in every batch. While based primarily in Elmhurst, the Brewer will also be scheduled for production shifts at our St. Charles taproom and Warrenville production facility , ensuring consistency across all locations. In addition, the Brewer will be expected to represent 93 Octane at beer festivals, special events, and other activities within our distribution footprint.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage brewing, fermentation, and packaging operations at the Elmhurst taproom Execute wort production following established recipes and SOPs Perform cellar work, including monitoring fermentation and daily quality checks Clean, sanitize, and maintain brewhouse, tanks, and packaging equipment Handle kegging, canning, and draft line maintenance Maintain accurate records for production and ingredient inventory Receive and organize deliveries of raw materials and supplies Ensure a safe, organized, and sanitary brewery environment Work scheduled shifts at other 93 Octane locations (St. Charles & Warrenville) Support beer events, festivals, and promotional activities within our distribution territory

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

3+ years of professional brewing experience (solo brewing experience preferred) Strong knowledge of brewing science, fermentation, sanitation, and packaging Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational habits and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with a broader team

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and maneuver full kegs (up to 165 lbs) Stand for extended periods (8-12 hours) Work in environments with variable temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions Ability to crouch, bend, kneel, and move safely around brewery equipment
