Job Description

Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview The Structured Training Entrance Program (STEP) is a dynamic, hands-on training program aimed at preparing the next generation of Steel Dynamics leaders. As a STEP Trainee you are eligible for the full benefits and compensation package including a base annual salary, quarterly ROA bonus, and annual Restricted Stock Unit award.

Some examples of potential topics include: Steel mill operations and downstream processing (for Steel Dynamics STEP Trainees) Sales and customer relationship management Shadow experienced team members across departments (operations, procurement, sales, etc.) and gain hands-on experience. Complete weekly logs of activities completed throughout the week and participate in weekly touch-base with program manager. Participate in internal training classes as directed. Demonstrate growth in knowledge, initiative, and leadership potential throughout the program. Network with internal and external customers. Follow all company protocols and policies regarding safety, including wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Qualifications Required Bachelors degree in a related field Willing to travel for extended periods of time Willing to work in an industrial/hands-on environment (outdoors and around heavy equipment) Experience utilizing
Microsoft Office Suite:
Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint Eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, and commitment to personal and professional growth Excellent verbal and written communication skills Willing to follow all safety regulations and advocate safety culture Preferred Willing to relocate upon completion of the program Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
