Job Description
Office of Juvenile Justice Jetson Center for Youth 15200 Old Scenic Hwy., Baker, LA 70714 The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is driven by a powerful mission: protecting our communities while helping youth build safer, healthier, and more successful futures. We are seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals to join our dedicated food service team. As a Corrections Juvenile Food Production Worker, you will play an essential role in preparing and serving meals while guiding youth through structured kitchen and cleaning activities. Your leadership and professionalism help reinforce OJJ's rehabilitative mission by modeling responsibility, consistency, and positive daily habits. One year of food service experience or training in an institutional, hospital, military, or commercial food service operation; OR Twelve semester hours in food and nutrition, dietetics, or institutional management. Job Duties:
Prepare, cook, and serve meals in accordance with facility menus and dietary guidelines Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and storage areas Supervise youth assigned to food service duties, ensuring safety and compliance Operate kitchen equipment and follow institutional food safety protocols Assist with inventory, storage, and portion control Uphold confidentiality, mandatory reporting, and trauma-informed care standards Participate in PREA training and other required onboarding programsPosition-Specific Details:

The Corrections Juvenile Food Production Worker (pay grade level WS-205) has a special entrance rate of $1,280 biweekly. The incumbent of this position must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15:587.1 (c) .How To Apply:
