Brewery Ambassador (SABB - FT Temp) The Boston Beer Company - 3.8 Boston, MA Job Details Full-time $17.50 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Venue beverage service Customer communication Maintaining an organized workspace In-person customer service High school diploma or GED Computer skills Materials handling Full Job Description We are hiring full-time, seasonal Brewery Ambassadors at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery in Jamaica Plain, MA. The Brewery Ambassador provides the ultimate Samuel Adams experience for all guests visiting our Boston Brewery. This position leads engaging tours and serves sample pours of Samuel Adams products while ensuring a safe and memorable experience for all guests.
Responsibilities What You'll Brew:
Conduct engaging, passionate, and factually accurate brewery tours. Understand and accurately deliver the Boston Beer story (past, present, and future), brewing process, ingredients, brands, locations, etc. Assist with all tours (pour beer, maintain cleanliness and organization of tasting areas, answer guest questions) Welcome Brewery Tour Center guests, answer customer questions, book tour groups. Drive sales for specialty programs and events Maintain organization in the Brewery Tour Center (rooms, retail shop, storage area, etc) Assist in the updating and creation of brewery history displays Assist with Brewery Tour Center and Retail Shop daily upkeep: shipping, receiving, inventory processing, and related organizational tasks.
Qualifications What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
21+ years of age required High school diploma/GED required At least 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Ability to work in an organized, detail-oriented manner Friday and Saturday work availability
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of craft beer Prior experience in public speaking or a related field (teaching, training, facilitating, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces While performing the duties of this role, it may be required to climb flights of stairs, work from heights or on elevated platforms Agile enough to step over, crouch or crawl under Established dexterity to: Handle materials Operate equipment Interface with computer systems with precision Ability to pour, pick up a glass, deliver beverages to customers Ability to handle kitchen and service equipment
Level:
10IC In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $17.50 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
