Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated team player to assist in preparing, tying, and hanging sausage products in our Stuffing Room. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the high-quality standards Kowalski is known for. If you enjoy working with your hands in a fast-paced, cold environment and value precision and cleanliness, we want to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare stuffed meat products for cooking, including linking, tying, and hanging. Assist with casing preparation, equipment setup, and supply restocking. Conduct SPC weight checks when line operator is unavailable. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly dispose of rework when needed. Sanitize production equipment including linker/clip machines using approved cleaning methods. Ensure proper HACCP tagging and help maintain documentation accuracy. Follow all company safety and food safety protocols including SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and MIOSHA standards. Work in refrigerated conditions throughout the shift.
Work Hours:
Typical start time is 6:00 AM, Monday-Friday. 8-10-hour shifts. Schedule and start times may vary based on production needs. Flexibility is required, including weekend availability as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older. Previous food production or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to lift and push up to 40 lbs., twist, bend, and stand for 8+ hours in a cold environment. Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Reliable and committed to safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.
