About Us America's newest and most exciting venue for kids' parties and play is now in Independence, MO. Kanga's Indoor Playcenter offers the best indoor play area in town for kids to enjoy, while their parents/caregivers can relax and enjoy tasty food, drinks, and coffee from our café. Kanga's Indoor Playcenter is looking for Team Members who are energetic, fun, and committed to helping children celebrate one of the most important days of their life each year! Description Team Members ensure our guests expectations are exceeded every moment of their visit. Team Members support the daily operation of the playcenter by maintaining positive relationships with our guests and their children. Team Members interact with guests, process admissions and merchandise sales, supervise play areas, and assist with general cleaning and maintenance activities. Responsibilities Enthusiastically greet guests as they enter the play center Assist guests with admissions, merchandise and café sales, and party and event bookings Process transactions on the point-of-sale systems Answer the store's telephone and route calls to others, as needed Participate in the daily operational activities of the playcenter Adhere to published child safety protocols Immediately report safety or security issues to the manager on duty Have fun! Requirements No prior work experience is required, but experience in a family entertainment center, restaurant, or retail store is a plus. The ideal candidate for this job has the following characteristics: Loves to work with children Has an infectious smile Is friendly, energetic, and fun Is patient Has a sense of humor Is creative and curious Values honesty and integrity Is humble Enjoys being part of a team Likes to learn new things and is open to change Physical Requirements Must be able to ascend and descend play structure stairs, ramps, and slides regularly Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl within the play structure regularly Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds occasionally Must be able to stand for prolonged periods regularly Must be able to work around children regularly Work Conditions Working indoors Working around mechanical amusement attractions Exposure to noise
