About the
Job:
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Winery Tasting Room Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing an exceptional experience for our guests through various duties including, but not limited to
  • preparing charcuterie boards, making paninis and other menu items, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the tasting room and kitchen areas.
As your knowledge increases, and as necessary, you will assist with tastings and table service as needed to ensure our guests have a memorable visit. As a Tasting Room Assistant at Eagles' Landing, you will be encouraged to help us drive direct-to-consumer sales, create memorable customer experiences, and help maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere at the winery. You will support our brand and all pairings available at the tasting room, run the kitchen, support the tasting room associate with tastings and table service where necessary, and ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen. As your knowledge grows and as traffic ramps up, you will be expected to engage customers in conversation and educate them on the variety of wines we offer as well as our wine club.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills and some wine knowledge or the ability to learn. Employer:
Eagles' Landing is a small, family-owned winery located in Rosati, Missouri just outside St. James. We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join our Hospitality and Production team. We specialize in small-batch wines from sustainably farmed vineyards and are committed to providing our guests with an exceptional tasting experience.
Responsibilities:
Put together attractive and delicious charcuterie boards for guests Prepare and serve paninis and light snacks Buss and reset tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment Clean and maintain the tasting room, kitchen, and service areas to ensure hygiene standards are met Conduct wine sales transactions and maintain cash handling accuracy Assist with wine tastings, providing information and engaging with guests Provide excellent hospitality and promote our wine club and merchandise Support table service, including pouring wine and answering guest questions Perform opening and closing procedures as needed Attend and participate in periodic staff training sessions Uphold all safety and sanitation standards Contribute to a positive and inviting atmosphere for all visitors
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older Attention to detail and cleanliness is a must

Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills Ability to work well in a team environment Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays is a must Experience in hospitality, sales, or customer service preferred Prior experience in food prep, hospitality, or retail is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Our winemaker is an advanced sommelier and loves to provide quarterly training for all staff showcasing different aspects of the wine world. As we are a small production winery, everything happens in house, so you will see everything from harvest to bottling in action, learn to taste good wines from bad, and sabrage sparkling wines, just to name a few!
