THE ROLE
SALT TENDER The Salt House is LMNT's first physical space — a brand experience and community gathering place in Big Sky, Montana, opening in July 2026. The Salt House is a place for guests to sit, work, relax, play games, and of course, taste and experience LMNT products. It is also LMNT's jumping-off point into the Big Sky community. We will be focused on partnering with local practitioners, events, and organizations to deepen the brand's roots, support community building and partner with wellness spaces in the area. As a Salt Tender, you are the person on-site who welcomes every guest, makes them feel they belong, educates them on LMNT and recommends events or activities to visitors. You'll also represent LMNT at off-site activations across Big Sky:
yoga in the park, the Big Sky Farmers Market, Music in the Mountains, and many more community moments throughout the season. This is the first hire of what will become a tight knit team. Hours of operation are still being finalized, with full-time and part-time roles available. Expect a variety of shifts on par with that of some Big Sky retail outlets. Occasionally hours may fall outside of normal operating windows, as community events and activations can happen at any time of day. JOB HIGHLIGHTS
Daily Guest Experience Open, run, and close shifts at the Salt House Greet every guest, run the LMNT sampling experience, and keep the space inviting throughout the shift Build relationships with regulars: remember names, drinks, and stories Suggest events and activities to guests, with an emphasis on outdoor/wellness related activities Product Fluency Learn the LMNT product line cold (packets, sparkling, flavors, use cases) Educate guests in plain language, adapting your story to who's in front of you Stay current on new releases, flavors, and brand campaigns Community Connector Build relationships with local wellness practitioners, business owners, and event organizers Surface partnership and event ideas to the General Manager Be a recognizable face for LMNT and the Salt House across Big Sky Activations and Off-Site Events Staff LMNT activations across the Big Sky area — yoga in the park, the farmers market, sponsored events Set up, run, and break down activation footprints; represent the brand with energy Capture leads, contacts, and community connections when relevant Space Operations Restock samples and retail product, monitor inventory, and handle basic cleaning Report space issues, supply needs, and guest feedback to the General Manager Clean and maintain the space such that it is a welcoming and inviting environment for the guest Pre-Opening Contribution Help with soft-opening preparation Contribute to the first version of the Salt House playbook from the ground up Expect this role to change and develop as we will also be developing the space, its function, and our presence in Big Sky REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
2+ years of hospitality experience (front-of-house, guest-facing) Lives in or near Big Sky, Montana (this role is on-site) Willing to quickly become fluent in the LMNT brand and products Reliable transportation to the Salt House and to activation sites across the Big Sky area Comfortable working weekends, some evenings, occasional early mornings, and holidays Bonus:
Already familiar with and enthusiastic about LMNT Background in high-end retail, hotel or resort concierge, or premium F&B Active in the Big Sky wellness scene (yoga, run club, gym, ski or outdoor community) Existing community network — knows local practitioners, event organizers, regulars POS, inventory, or retail operations experience Endless supply of LMNT!
