Experienced Craft Beer Brewer - Monmouth County NJ

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Brewer to join our team. As a Brewer, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality craft beer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing brewery.

Responsibilities:

• Execute all aspects of the brewing process, including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, fermenting, and conditioning
• Monitor and control fermentation parameters to ensure consistent product quality
• Perform yeast management tasks, including pitching, cropping, and propagating yeast
• Operate and maintain brewhouse equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, and filtration systems
• Clean and sanitize brewing equipment to maintain a sanitary brewing environment
• Package finished beer into kegs or bottles using appropriate equipment
• Adhere to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards throughout the brewing process
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with other team members to develop new beer recipes and improve existing ones

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience (2+ preferred) as a Brewer in a production brewery with a 5bbl or larger brew system
• Strong knowledge of brewing processes, techniques, and equipment
• Familiarity with warehouse operations in the food industry is preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues related to brewing equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

• Brewing:

  Proficient in all aspects of the brewing process from milling to packaging.

• Package:

  Experience with packaging finished beer into kegs or bottles.

• Warehouse:

  Familiarity with warehouse operations in the food industry.
• Food safety: Understanding of food safety principles and practices.

• Sanitation:

  Ability to clean and sanitize brewing equipment to maintain a sanitary brewing environment.
• Mechanical knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on brewing equipment.
