  • Hill City Brewing (Oneonta, NY) Join the Team at Hill City Brewing Hill City Brewing is seeking an energetic, organized, and hospitality-focused Taproom Manager to lead the daily operations of our taproom in Oneonta, NY.
This position is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience, managing staff, driving sales, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced craft brewery environment. Key Responsibilities Taproom Operations Oversee all daily taproom operations and ensure excellent guest experiences. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Monitor taproom appearance, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. Staff Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise taproom staff. Foster a positive team culture focused on hospitality and teamwork. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching. Manage labor costs while maintaining excellent service standards. Customer Experience Serve as the primary point of contact for guest concerns and feedback. Create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits. Educate guests about Hill City Brewing beers, brewing processes, and events. Ensure consistent and friendly customer service. Sales & Inventory Management Monitor beer, merchandise, and supply inventory levels. Coordinate with brewery production staff regarding beer availability and releases. Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining accurate inventory records. Drive taproom sales through staff engagement, promotions, and special events. Events & Community Engagement Coordinate taproom events, live music, trivia nights, beer releases, and private functions. Work with marketing staff to promote upcoming events and specials. Build relationships within the local community and support brewery initiatives. Financial Responsibilities Manage cash handling procedures and daily sales reconciliation. Review sales reports and identify opportunities to increase revenue. Help develop and implement operational procedures and efficiencies. Qualifications Required 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in hospitality, food service, beverage service, or retail. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and spend extended periods standing. Preferred Craft beer knowledge or brewery experience. Experience with POS systems and inventory management. Event planning or hospitality management experience.
