Full Time Summary:

Serve guest needs by greeting and waiting on them, responding to their questions, offering sales suggestions, and completing the sale via proper operation of cash control procedures; ring up sales on sales register; enter charges for all items, subtract value of discounts, coupons, accept payment of cash, personal check, charge and debit cards; make change and return to guest. Apply standards and regulations to each function of the job, including stocking, cleaning, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Welcomes guests in a friendly manner; maintains superior customer service to all guests at all times. 2. Perform proper operation of cash registers and gas pumps according to SOP standards. 3. Ensure all purchases are properly charged into the cash register, accurately recorded and all money is properly accounted for. 4. Perform general as well as specific merchandising duties including pricing and stocking, bagging ice and placing in the merchandiser, organization of the cooler and stockroom, and replenishing supplies in the deli area and stocking cigarettes/racks. 5. Perform all assigned task to complete the Operations Checklist as well as specific housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning both interior and exterior of the Travel Plaza. 6. Pays attention to preparation, presentation, and quality control of food and beverage area. 7. Counts money in the drawer accurately, beginning and end of work shift. Reports discrepancies to store manager. 8. Comply with state and federal laws and Nation policy regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco products; checks identification when required by transaction. 9. Knowledge of all Tobacco products offered. 10. Responsible for safeguarding the company's assets unless physical safety is in jeopardy. Report all violations of rules and regulations to the proper authority. 11. This position requires physical maintenance and sanitation of the facility by being interactive and hands on with all cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation procedures. 12. Provide food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety and consistency. 13. Maintain knowledge of all product offerings. Ensure fast, friendly service and delicious food. 14. Performs additional duties as assigned.
