Mt. Mitchell Foods Mt. Mitchell Foods is a growing contract manufacturer specializing in food, beverage, supplement, and fulfillment services. We are launching a new beverage production operation featuring a Silverson high-shear mixing system and a state-of-the-art CODI canning line. Brewers, Packaging Leads, and Brewery Production Professionals are strongly encouraged to apply. We are seeking a hands-on Beverage Production Lead to help build and operate this new division. This is a working leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, running equipment, solving problems, and helping create efficient processes. What You'll Do Prepare and blend beverage batches according to approved formulations Operate and maintain Silverson mixing equipment Manage carbonation, tanks, pumps, and liquid processing systems Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the CODI canning line Monitor product quality, fill weights, seam integrity, and production standards Perform cleaning and sanitation procedures, including CIP processes Complete production records and batch documentation Identify and resolve equipment and process issues Assist in developing SOPs and production procedures Train and support additional production team members as the operation grows Work closely with Quality Assurance and Operations teams Qualifications 3+ years of experience in beverage manufacturing, brewing, dairy processing, or liquid food production Experience operating production or packaging equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working with pumps, tanks, fillers, conveyors, and processing equipment Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily production activities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety Preferred Qualifications Brewery production experience Experience with canning lines Experience with carbonation systems Food manufacturing or co-manufacturing experience HACCP, GMP, or food safety training Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company-paid employee-only health insurance Dental and vision insurance available 401(k) with company match Paid time off Opportunity to help build a rapidly growing beverage operation from the ground up Why This Role Is Different This is not a large corporate brewery or manufacturing environment where you are responsible for only one piece of the process.
