In this vital role, you will lead cleaning and sanitation efforts across our manufacturing facility to ensure a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment. Your energetic leadership will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, supporting our commitment to quality food processing and manufacturing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee industrial cleaning operations, mentor team members, and contribute directly to the safety and efficiency of our food production processes, reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor. Responsibilities Daily sanitation activities, including cleaning of production areas, equipment, and facilities in accordance with food safety standards and regulations Coordinate with production teams to schedule cleaning tasks that minimize disruption to manufacturing operations Perform inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance with safety protocols Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively for heavy-duty cleaning tasks Maintain detailed sanitation logs, records of cleaning schedules, and incident reports for regulatory audits Assist in developing and updating sanitation procedures to improve efficiency and uphold quality standards Qualifications Proven experience in industrial or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within food production or manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of sanitation practices specific to food processing facilities and adherence to safety regulations (such as GMPs—Good Manufacturing Practices) Experience with warehouse operations or heavy lifting required for moving equipment or supplies Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Familiarity with food processing environments, including understanding of hygiene protocols in manufacturing settings Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inspection and recordkeeping purposes Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and perform demanding cleaning tasks Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 pm to 4:00 am. Weekends and overtime on occasion as available.
