Tasting Room Associate Woodinville, WA 98072 From $17.31 an hour - Part-time From $17.31 an hour - Part-time Job Description Bayernmoor Cellars, an upscale winery in Washington, is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Tasting Room Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest experiences, showcasing our award-winning wines and sharing the story of our winery. This role requires a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Restaurant experience is preferred, and wine knowledge is a significant bonus.
Responsibilities Guest Experience:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a memorable and educational tasting experience. Educate guests about Bayernmoor Cellars' history, winemaking process, and unique varietals. Guide guests through wine tastings, explaining flavor profiles, pairings, and proper tasting techniques. Handle wine and merchandise sales, process transactions accurately, and manage inventory. Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
Tasting Room Operations:
Set up and break down the tasting room daily, ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are met. Maintain an organized and well-stocked tasting bar and retail area. Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, monitoring product levels, and reporting discrepancies. Ensure compliance with all LCB regulations regarding alcohol sales and service. Assist with special events and private tastings as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other tasting room staff, winemaking team, kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding guest feedback, product needs, and operational issues. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred. Restaurant or fine dining experience is strongly preferred. Previous wine industry experience is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of people. Strong sales acumen and ability to meet sales targets. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Basic computer proficiency, including point-of-sale (POS) systems. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of wine and viticulture is a bonus, but a willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with Washington wines and the local wine industry is a plus.
Availability:
