Job Description

Bear Lake Coffee Co. is a fourth-wave roastery and coffeehouse in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and a Certified B Corporation built on Coffee With A Purpose®: sourcing and roasting exceptional, exploitation-free specialty coffee, and proving the best cup in the world can also be the most responsibly sourced. Every lot is evaluated at origin, cupped by Q Grader certified professionals, and independently scored by Coffee Review — certified for ethics, sourced for quality, third-party validated on both. We give 2% of revenue back to the communities behind our coffee. That's rare. As our Roaster, you'll own the daily roast on a Diedrich IR-12 — roasting to profile, protecting quality and consistency, and keeping production running cleanly and on schedule across every channel. It's a hands-on craft position with real ownership of the roast. Here's the opportunity: Bear Lake is growing. We're approaching the limits of our Barronett roastery, and in the years ahead we'll build a new Midwest roastery to meet demand. This role starts part-time and scales as we do — a genuine ground-floor shot to rise from Roaster in Barronett to Head Roaster at our next location. For the right person, it's a chance to trade the city for the Northwoods, bet on a roaster on the rise, and build a real roasting career over the next few years.
