POSITION SUMMARY

The Tasting Room Sales Associate is a key member of our front-of-house team at The Blind Horse Winery in Kohler. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service through wine tastings, light food offerings, and a welcoming environment. Associates help create memorable experiences that build lasting relationships, promote wine sales, and grow our wine club membership. This position is ideal for someone who loves hospitality, has a passion for wine (or is eager to learn), and thrives in a lively, community-focused setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

Greet all guests and provide guided wine tastings, flights, and wine-by-the-glass or bottle service Promote wine club memberships, tastings, bottles, pairings, and events Educate guests about The Blind Horse wines, winemaking process, and our story—including our flagship Kohler location (restaurant, patio, Granary event space, and wine production) Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately handle sales transactions Learn and promote our light food menu (non-full-service) Keep tasting room areas clean, organized, and guest-ready (glassware, tables, service stations) Open, mid-shift, and close the tasting room as scheduled Support and participate in on-site events and promotions Assist in the setup and restocking of retail merchandise and wine Maintain the aesthetics and cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas, including the patio and wine bar Share general winery and local tourism information with guests Follow all company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals Enthusiastic about creating unforgettable wine tasting experiences Self-motivated and able to take direction effectively Team-oriented with a positive, & can-do attitude Wine knowledge preferred, but not required (training provided) Retail or hospitality experience preferred
