The Count Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing the Casino Count / Drop Room. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring integrity and compliance with all internal and external gaming regulations, policies and procedures are adhered to.
E SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and oversee the drop/count team members and drop/count activities Ensure adherence to policy and procedures to provide a strong level of internal control and funds integrity; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Ensuring protection and security of funds Maintain control and awareness of anomalies, changes or problems, reporting any issues immediately Train and supervise count/drop team members, ensuring timely performance management and evaluation Coordinate with cage manager, surveillance, security and State Gaming Regulators as to route and timing of drop and count activities Maintain attendance as per Oaklawn guidelines Ensure proper and efficient functioning of count equipment Build and maintain positive relationships with other departments Ensure safety concerns are identified, addressed and corrected Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests Punctual attendance required Ability to work required overtime. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Superior attention to detail Strong math, analytical and problem solving skills Computer proficiency Ability to read and understand complex documents and regulations Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner Ability to lead by example and prove a strong role model for the team Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions and meet strict deadlines Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with management Ability to swiftly adapt to changes and communicate changes positively with team Extensive money handling skills High school graduate, college degree preferred 1 year supervisory experience 5 years money handling experience (i.e. banking, cage etc.) Previous gaming experience preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the Count/Drop room staff under the supervision of the Count/Drop Manager.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
