Job Description

General Summary of Job Duties Manages, supervises, and coordinates the work activities of the operational departments to include Slots, Table Games, Sportsbook, Beverage, Food, Hotel and EVS operation. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties Maintain a high quality of guest service according to JEI's Mission Statement and FAST Track Values Statement. Manages, supervises, and coordinates all work activities for all properties in Colorado jurisdiction during a specific shift. Manages all aspects of the property including but not limited to: Slots, Table Games, Sportsbook, Beverage, Food, Hotel and EVS operation, creating a differentiated service experience and ensuring optimum performance of all. Achieves desired results in all areas of responsibility through staff development and training programs, established methods, procedures, guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high-quality service. Effectively develop and mentor assistant managers and other employees to support their career goals and to ensure all departmental standards and goals are understood and met. Assists in managing Casino Operations staff, ensuring administrative reporting and paperwork are completed in a timely manner. Evaluates table limits on a frequent basis each shift to ensure strategy optimization Tracks high-value play in tables and slots through communication with departmental personnel and communicates pertinent information to executive management. Monitors results through inspection, evaluation, and analysis. Makes changes if necessary, to achieve results. Approve check overrides and sign Jackpot checks. Management accountability for all team members for day to day and long-term operations to include developing employees through coaching, mentoring, and appropriate performance management up to and including separation. Notify senior management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely and responsible manner Familiarization with all Jacobs Entertainment programs policies and procedures. Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operation, ensures compliance with all Gaming regulatory, internal controls, Liquor and Beer codes, Federal and IRS Reporting requirements for Anti-Money Laundering, and Company Policies. Builds guest relations through visibility to customer, soliciting/requesting feedback, and responding to guest concerns appropriately and professionally to resolve any issues. Presents oneself as a credit to the company and encourages others to do the same. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Attend operational/strategy meetings (in-person or virtually) with senior management when scheduled. Point of contact for Gaming Enforcement and Police departments. Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future. Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards. Maintain an open line of communication with Management. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors. Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner. Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings. Other duties as assigned. Reports To:
Colorado Assistant General Manager Skills, Education and Other Requirements Must be fluent in English. High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred. 3 years in a Casino Operations leadership Role. Knowledge of key Slot, Cage, Beverage, and Table Game systems to effectively deal with daily operations. Ability to think through critical issues logically and make decisions in real time. Must possess the knowledge to analyze and understand all Casino Operation reports. Highly knowledgeable of Slot and Table Game procedures and policies including game play strategies and dealer mechanics. Must possess the ability to make hard decision for our High limit, while maintaining a good relationship with them. Ability to review and analyze surveillance or live play to determine the existence of any procedural improprieties by employees or guests. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to the executive team. Ability to logically make decisions on monetary decision up to a limit set by the property. Must possess a knowledge of departmental budgets, expenses, and labor management. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Key Gaming License. Must have strong employee relation skills. Must have strong knowledge of Colorado Gaming Regulations and ICMP's. Must have the ability to analyze and interpret departmental need and results. Proven time management and critical thinking skills required. Must have knowledge of alcohol beverage control regulations. Must be competent in Microsoft suite of products. Must be flexible in workdays, shifts and hours, including holidays. Required Work Cards Identification that establishes identity. Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States. Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment. Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
