- The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for leading an entire shift and delivering a best-in-class gaming experience for all guests.
This role oversees all operational teams in the absence of department heads, ensuring consistent communication, engagement, and performance feedback. The MOD also serves as a liaison between the casino and law enforcement in accordance with ICMP and RMG standards. This position is accountable for maintaining operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering relationships with regulators and the community, and representing the RMG brand with flawless execution. Key Responsibilities Directly supervise all team members during assigned shifts. Coach, mentor, and develop employees by setting performance objectives and success plans in collaboration with department heads. Communicate employee performance updates to department heads and Human Resources. Ensure all gaming devices and kiosks are fully operational and available to guests. Maintain compliance with the State of Colorado Limited Gaming Act and all applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations. Oversee slot machine compliance, including equipment and software upgrades required by manufacturers and regulatory agencies. Ensure adherence to AML, Title 31, and SAR regulations by establishing and enforcing proper procedures. Build and maintain strong working relationships with guests and team members, promoting excellent customer service. Ensure a clean, safe work environment and compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Enforce security protocols and report any violations. Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects for the slot technical team to ensure timely completion. Verify game options and configurations on all slot floor gaming devices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise employees in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and ICMP directives. Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Evaluate employee performance, provide recognition, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary. Address employee concerns and resolve operational issues effectively. Qualifications & Skills Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Basic math proficiency, including the ability to handle and count large sums of money accurately. Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Sound judgment and ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions. Requirements Valid State of Colorado Gaming Key License or the ability to obtain one. Three years or more gaming experience with at least one in a supervisory or management role. Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean driving record. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime. Physical Demands Frequent walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Ability to perform physically active tasks throughout an entire shift with standard breaks. Work Environment Primarily indoor environment with high noise levels and large crowds. Regular interaction with guests and team members. Use of technical tools for installing, servicing, and repairing gaming machines. Operation of standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and calculators.
