Job Description

Shift:
2:00A - 10:30
A Responsibilities:
Produces and maintains an exceptional work environment. Ensures that Dover Downs employees are informed of pertinent information including property/departmental goals and objectives. Establishes and maintains close working relationships with all departments ensuring maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service. Makes suggestions for improvements in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenues as well as reducing costs. Displays fair treatment with respect to disciplinary action producing documentation as necessary. Resolves guest and Dover Downs employee issues/disputes.. Mentors line staff assisting in their professional development and growth. Produces performance appraisals for direct reporting employees. Monitors labor resources to ensure maximum effectiveness in guest service while realizing full profit potential. Inspects public areas (casino, public restrooms, front drive, pool area, elevators, etc.) ensuring all is cleaned and well maintained. Ensures that storage closets are properly stocked with supplies. Generates purchase orders as needed. Conducts required number of written inspections. Ensures that staff is producing Maintenance Requests. Ensures that Daily Cleaning Projects are properly executed. Issues and collects master keys. Evaluates employee performance routinely, delivering positive and negative feedback in a timely and effective fashion. Adheres to department and property policies and procedures. Resolves guest and employee issues. Ensures that company assets/equipment/inventories are protected. Supervises Environmental Services employees. Interviews, selects, hires, and retains superior employees. Conducts formal and informal training for subordinates. Conducts formal and informal coaching and counseling with subordinates. Rewards and recognizes superior performers. Ensures that employees work safely and follow all safety rules to minimize work related injuries. Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition. Ensures effective communication within the department and company. Holds subordinates accountable for established performance expectations. Motivates and develops staff; provides advice and guidance as appropriate. Complies with and enforces compliance with the company's recycling program standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled
