Job Description
Job Responsibility:
Consistently create a welcoming environment for guests by greeting, anticipating needs, exceeding expectations and implementing creative solutions to provide an exceptional movie going experience and customer service. Provide training and development of staff through servant leadership and continuously assess talent at all levels by leading by example and exemplifying a positive demeanor. Supervise, motivate, and inspire staff to cultivate exceptional levels of performance and appropriately counsel staff when they are not meeting expectations. Regularly coach and provide feedback in order to develop and maintain the best talent in the industry and encourage the team to maximize their personal growth and development. Supervising all staff positions, including hiring, training, scheduling, breaks, coaching, and developing, and disciplining employees in accordance with company policies and staffing needs. Providing overall direction on strategic initiatives to ensure all Picture Show company standards are adhered to and executed consistently in compliance with company direction, objectives and financial goals. Performing daily opening and closing, operational and administrative duties as needed while upholding and administering all Picture Show policies. Ensure facility is kept in a clean, safe, and good general working order. Constantly monitor theater, property and equipment. Must be able to perform minor repairs around facility, troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs as needed. Controlling costs, including all direct operating expenses, ordering concession and other stock items and any other supplies needed for daily operations, as well as the inventory and auditing processes involved in tracking those supplies and minimizing inventory loss or waste. Learning and enforcing proper cash handling procedures. Responsible for cash drawers, petty cash, and deposits. Monitoring risk management as it pertains to the theatre, i.e., employee and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and the proper handling reporting, and investigating of accidents. Preparing daily communications and running and building reports to monitor theater performance. Responsible for providing the best movie picture and sound quality by operating all projection equipment including projectors, servers and sound equipment, as well as basic troubleshooting and bulb changes. Ability to analyze, interpret, and make decisions based on business and financial data. This is not a complete list of all duties and requirements, but is representative of the expectations of a GM. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Enforces and supports all Picture Show policies and procedures. Interacts with customers for improved service in the theatre. Performs other duties as directed and assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills with staff, guests, vendors and corporate leadership team. Must be able to lead with confidence, yet be cooperative, perceptive, and situationally aware. Customer service experience required. Supervisory and theater experience preferred. Capable of handling multiple tasks and following through in a timely manner. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Stand, walk, lift, twist, and bend on a frequent basis. Flexible schedule to include late nights, weekends and holidays. Must maintain regular personal attendance. Availability to work flexible shifts which include evening hours, weekends and holidays. High School or G.E.D. graduate and at least 18 years of age. Proficient knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office programs and the ability to operate and teach a Point of Sale (POS) system. Ability to train others and work independently. Accurate cash handling and mathematics skills. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance and adhere to the employee schedule.
