PAY:
Starting at $57,512.00 annually
SCOPE OF POSITION
Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities within the Cage Department are performed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, as well as established company policies, procedures, and Internal Controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is a list of primary duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, as well as organizational policies, procedures, and practices. Assist the with developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of Cage Operations. Ensure the integrity of all financial data produced by Team Members under their supervision. Monitor all financial activities related to the Cage to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the company, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission. Assist Cage Supervisors in understanding the complexities of specific departmental responsibilities. Ensure a maximum level of company-wide service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained within the Cage. Facilitate the flow of information by organizing and leading regularly scheduled meetings with all Team Members under their supervision. Maintain accountability for the accuracy and completeness of departmental records and reports. Uphold the highest level of confidentiality. Maintain consistent, regular attendance as outlined in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy. Exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, representing FireKeepers Casino Hotel positively.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include maintaining adequate staffing levels; interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An applicant's education, training, and experience must demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities. FireKeepers reserves the right to verify the sufficiency of a candidate's qualifications through interviews, testing, and other methods: Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is required. Must have at least five years of relevant experience and/or training in Casino Cage Operations. Must have outstanding communication, organizational, and analytical skills. They must be at least 21 years old and demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English. A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants should be highly adept with numbers, computer-savvy, and possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area from a four-year college or university is preferred. Successful completion of any FireKeepers Casino Hotel Track Training programs is desirable. WEEA certification is also preferred.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
To perform the essential functions of this position, candidates must regularly be able to talk or hear. They are frequently required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, and use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, they may need to reach with their hands and arms, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds is essential. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed in various areas of the facility where noise levels range from quiet to loud, depending on business activity. INDIAN PREFERENCE
