Assistant Shift Manager Slots Palms Casino Resort - 3.7 Las Vegas, NV Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Operations management Casino Staff scheduling Mid-level Supervising experience Team management Organizational skills Computer skills Guest services 2 years Communication skills Staffing management Customer complaint resolution Full Job Description Working closely with the Shift Manager of Slots, the Assistant Shift Manager Slots will play an important role by supervising the slot department during the assigned shift. Ensure that all areas are staffed and directs all slot personnel throughout the shift. Serves as witness on major jackpots and signs checks. Maintain the highest standards of customer service and integrity in the slot department.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Step up as Slot Shift Manager during Slot Shift Manager's days off. or as needed. Oversee department operations during the assigned shift to insure exceptional customer service. Assist Guest Service Ambassador with jackpots, replenishing TITO in slot machines, machine malfunctions. Witness all major jackpot wins, sign jackpot checks, and complete hand pays. Communicate with customers to answer questions and resolve disputes. Implement all Casino procedures relating to slot operations and monitor areas for cleanliness. Perform special assignments as assigned by Slot Shift Manager, Slot Operations Manager or Slot Director. Develop shift schedules and schedule employees. Ensure that shift is properly staffed at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum age requirement is 21. Minimum 1 year experience in a Slot Supervisory position preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience within a hotel/gaming property is preferred. Effective communication skills. Ability to coach, develop, counsel and discipline subordinates. Knowledge of slot equipment. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in casino indoor setting. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. May be exposed to smoke The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests. Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Eye/hand coordination. Use of standard office equipment. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
