The GDW Reno is located in the central downtown gaming district and has been a local's favorite since 1977. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for planning, controlling, communications and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the department. Direct personnel, budgeting and staffing issues Prepare and effectively manage department budget and strategic plans Establish standards of performance. Ensures standards of quality, teamwork and customer services across departmental lines Ensure that orders are created and maintained in the Redrock system Implement and enforce inventory controls Participate in monthly inventory counts Establish and maintain communication and interaction with employees and guests in all areas of property operation Create and monitor schedules and activities to maintain efficiency Work with department managers and assist with P&L reviews and departmental budget questions Analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. Recognize and solve problems Effectively manage people, process and procedures and adhere to deadlines Monitor and assist with concerns and/or violations from Nevada Gaming Promote positive work atmosphere, including support and assistance to all the management and staff Contribute to management shift coverage and floor representation Assist in retaining, rewarding, training and advancing qualified Gold Dust West personnel
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
Must be fluent in English Must have strong communication skills Must be at least 21 years of age Knowledge of F&B operations Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must have working knowledge of the Food and Beverage service industry High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience Identification that establishes identity Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States Nevada Gaming Registration Must have valid driver's license
