Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Track and report daily, monthly, and yearly drop and vig to the executive level. Develop promotions and tournaments that will interest regulars and attract new players. Establish weekly work schedules and manage labor effectively. Complete daily and monthly reports and maintain an accurate budget for the poker room operation. Manage, develop, and control rake, vig, and promo drops and distribution. Order weekly food, drink, and supplies for poker room. Monitor and manage food and drink safety controls for poker room. Work in collaboration with Marketing to bring players to poker room through publicity and digital marketing. Work in collaboration with Revenue Audit to ensure that daily reported numbers are accurate. Develop, staff, and manage outside poker events for businesses and team building events. Resolve guest or team member disputes or issues. Report to surveillance any notable cash variations that occur in the room. Monitor and maintain the integrity of all games in the Poker room, both at the dealer and guest levels. Develop professional relationships with guests and team members. Coach and develop poker team members when variances occur or they fall below department standards. Adhere to all game controls and procedures (as outlined in the department manual) and ensure team members comply with same. Comply with all State gaming rules and regulations. Attend and participate in meetings as required. Interact with other operating departments as needed. Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must have computer skills and the ability to navigate, update, and create reports and manuals on Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Bravo, and Synkros. Knowledge of poker games sufficient to protect and develop procedures for each game type. Multi-task regardless of circumstance, while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor towards guests and team members. Ability to speak in front of large groups, multiple departments, and the executive level. Comprehend and follow instruction from leadership. Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Intercede and diffuse situations involving intoxicated patrons or offensive language situations. Must have an understanding and ability to coach all Title 31 rules and regulations. Listen and respond to guest and team member inquiries in a positive and professional manner. Read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and team members. Remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm in emergency situations. Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.Must have the following skills:
clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE 3
years' previous dealing and supervisory experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently sitting, standing, walking, occasionally reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, and kneeling during the duration of their shift. Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs or less constantly occasionally. The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required. Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around moving objects, computer equipment, electrical devices, and other mechanical devices.
