FUNCTION
In the absence of the Slot Manager, manages all aspects of the slot floor operations to include supervision of all slot team members. Oversees all operations regarding jackpot verifications, payoffs, etc. Assures that the Slot department follows all company policies and procedures and complies with state and federal gaming regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the department operations during the assigned shift to insure exceptional guest service. Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays and special events. Assist Slot Ambassador's with jackpots, replenish TITO in slot machines, and assist with machine malfunctions. Greet and track both new and established Slot players. Enlist new players to the Nugget's players club. Assist the beverage department in providing complimentary drinks to all players, alerting the server to VIP players in the slot area. Witness all major jackpot wins, sign jackpot slips, and complete hand pays. Communicate with guests answering questions and resolving disputes. Implement all casino procedures relating to slot operations and monitor areas for cleanliness. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests. Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same. Regular predictable attendance is required. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Slot Operations Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL
High School diploma or equivalent is required. .
LANGUAGE
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience within a hotel/gaming environment preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Knowledge of slot operations and slot equipment.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Nevada Employee Gaming Registration required. Alcohol Awareness Certification required
PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, and move product up to 40 lbs. Fine finger manipulation. Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
