Uniform Attendant (graveyard shift)

Uniform Supervisor Summary The Uniform Attendant operates conveyors and scanners for daily issue of uniforms to casino employees. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists with the distribution and readiness of uniforms for casino and hotel employees.

Assists with accurate and timely alterations.

Operates conveyors and scanners used when distributing and accepting uniforms to/from employees.

Inspects returned garments from employees, assigns to laundry or refers to supervisor for discard.

Receives and inspects garments from laundry, install bar code label on non-coded items, scan into inventory and return to stock.

Assists in the inspection of garments at receiving dock per management instruction.

Participates in cycle counts for inventory control.

Keeps accurate records of uniform distribution and assists terminated employees who are returning uniforms.

Communicates concerns and requirements of inventory, maintenance and alterations to supervisor.

Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; prior seamstress and/or uniform distribution experience preferred as well as knowledge of garment fabrics, proper care of garments. Computer Skills Must have basic PC skills. Knowledge of GIMS software preferred. Other Qualifications Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requested.

Must have ability to operate equipment and tools required for use in the position.

Must be able to work independently.

Must be self-motivated and able to multitask.

Must be able to get along with co-workers and be a team player. Must successfully communicate with multiple levels of management. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
