Job Summary:
The Slot Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service to casino patrons using slot machines. This position ensures the proper functioning of machines, assists guests with questions or problems, processes jackpots and hand pays, and maintains a friendly and professional gaming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Monitors functioning of slot machines; changes/fixes ticket paper in the slot machines Patrols assigned areas to ensure that players are following rules and machines are functioning correctly. Processes jackpot payouts in accordance with Company procedures Redeems ticket in/ ticket out machine tickets. Pays jackpots to guests in a timely manner. Make change for guests in a prompt manner. Stocks holding area with voucher paper. Answers the guest's questions about game information Responds to and resolves guests' complaints. Performs minor repairs or makes adjustments to slot machines, resolving problems such as bill/voucher jams, machine tilts; contacts technician or Supervisor for assistance as needed. Records the specifics of malfunctioning machines and documents malfunctions needing repair. Follows all departmental policies and procedures. Preform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. No experience required; previous customer service experience preferred. Excellent guest service skills Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately handle large sums of money. Basic slot knowledge preferred. Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene. Required to work a flexible schedule posted every two weeks based on business needs on short notice including but not limited to: nights, holidays, weekends, peak times, etc. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed including but not limited to: nights, holidays, and weekends. Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke). Physical Requirements Must be able to be on walk, feet/stand for entire length of shift. Manual dexterity sufficient for handling machine functioning and repairs Ability to push and pull chairs in and out that are in front of machines. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp items. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality may include secondhand smoke. Indoor casino/gaming environment - noise level may be moderate to high during busy times.
