Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is available for early morning shifts, has cash handling experience, and works well in a team environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: The aforementioned Summary and the following Essential Duties and Responsibilities will be discussed and demonstrated during The Brook's Count Team Member Training Process. The Count Team Member reports to the Count Team Lead and Count Team Manager Must be able to communicate in a friendly, polite, and professional manner with guests and other team members Requires dependable and punctual attendance and flexibility with scheduled shifts. Requires working weekends, holidays, special events and attending mandatory meetings Responsible for counting and balancing all currency/coins received from various live games, slot bill validators and Kiosks Assist Supervisor with sorts, counts, and records contents of table game drop boxes, kiosks and currency drop boxes, according to set procedures Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, as well as company policies, procedures and controls Oversees and records drop collection process and counting money Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork related to the Soft Count Department. Responsible for the transportation of departmental wheeled carts to and from secured locations Performs related work as required or assigned All other duties as assigned The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. : Strong cash handling and fast counting skills Must have proficient basic math skills Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and The Brook's Departmental policies and procedures Excellent interpersonal and team building skills Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment while adhering to strict guidelines, regulations and controls Must be detail oriented Requires the ability to push and guide wheeled drop carts safely through the casino Ability to multitask and get several assignments completed within a short timeAGE and GAMING:
18 years of age or above NH Gaming License required EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum six (6) months cash handling experience in the casino or banking industry preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to fluently read, write, speak, communicate and understand the English language required. Ability to read and understand documents and diagrams in written English form is required. Ability to respond to inquiries, complaints and emergencies.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must have proficient math skills and rapid currency counting skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations. Requires the ability to understand and follow policies and standard operating procedures and be adept and proactive in problem solving. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time and use hands or fingers frequently to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally move and/or lift up to 100 pounds assisted and move wheeled carts weighting up to 600 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT
: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which ranges from moderate to loud. Counting occurs in an isolated area away from the casino floor. Fast-paced environment while adhering to strict guidelines and controls. The casino floor environment is loud and will subject Employee to tobacco smoke. Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Employees must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Count team shifts typically begin in the early morning hours. The Count Team Member assists in creating a friendly, professional and courteous atmosphere in the Soft Count Room while collecting, sorting, counting, weighing and recording of gaming results as well as the overall operation of the soft count room and currency counting equipment and complying with all internal controls in the process.
