Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. The Bingo Attendant is responsible for ensuring guests have an engaging, friendly, and well-organized bingo experience by explaining games, selling bingo paper and machines, calling numbers, and accurately handling and balancing all funds and materials. This role requires strict adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, policies, and gaming regulations, while maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward customers and coworkers. Key duties include starting sessions on time, operating point-of-sale systems, maintaining accurate cash handling and inventory, verifying and paying winnings, calling numbers clearly, making announcements, and ensuring all equipment, signage, and gaming materials are accurate and functional. Attendants must actively monitor the floor, assist players with instructions and gameplay, promote products and games, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. They are also responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction through friendly service, clear communication, and the ability to handle questions and escalate disputes appropriately while maintaining a calm environment, even during emergencies. In addition, the position requires teamwork, strong customer relationship skills, and knowledge of casino services, promotions, and amenities to assist guests effectively. Employees must be flexible, able to work under pressure, including weekends and holidays, and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), relevant experience, minimum age of 21, and preferably prior calling or cash-handling experience. Technical skills include basic computer proficiency, use of office equipment, POS systems, and microphones/PA systems. The role involves significant physical demands (including lifting over 50 lbs., standing, bending, and repetitive hand use) and mental demands such as problem-solving and decision-making. The work environment is indoors with exposure to noise and smoke. Employees must obtain and maintain a gaming license, comply with federal Title 31 requirements, and pass pre-employment screenings. No supervisory duties are required, but maintaining professionalism with coworkers, vendors, and the public is essential at all times.
