Job Description

Deliver a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for guests and team members alike. As a Host/Cashier, you'll operate computerized point-of-sale systems, engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and quality. RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate point of sale computer, handle financial transactions, and process orders accurately. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces. Cleaning and stocking the venue to ensure success, rotating and organizing products to prevent spoilage. Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management. Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance. Works with the Dining Room Supervisor to ensure a smooth flow of guests to the restaurant.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have or have the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler's Card. Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska. Minimum age of 21 years is required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska. Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards. Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Benefits Travel - FREE
