General Manager / Front of House Manager Position Overview
  • We are seeking a warm, professional, and hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to join our fine dining team.
The ideal candidate will be the first and last impression of our restaurant, creating a welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations, guest flow, and seating arrangements with grace and efficiency. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with POS and reservation systems are essential. Key Responsibilities 1. Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. 2. Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant efficiency. 3. Utilize POS and reservation management systems accurately and effectively. 4. Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservation requests. 5. Coordinate with management, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. 6.Escort guests to their tables and provide menus when appropriate. 7. Maintain an organized and welcoming host stand and entrance area. 8. Monitor dining room capacity and communicate wait times accurately. 9. Assist in handling guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and discretion. 10. Thank guests as they depart and invite them to return. Qualifications 1. Previous host, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. 2. Experience using POS systems and reservation platforms such as Toast, Resy or similar software. 3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Professional appearance and demeanor. 5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 6. Ability to remain calm and composed during busy service periods. 7. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
