Manage the host stand:
maintain waitlists, arrange seating, and update reservation systems accurately. Seat guests efficiently while coordinating table flow with servers to optimize dining room balance. Communicate wait times, specials, and restaurant policies clearly and courteously. Answer phones, handle reservations, and assist with takeout or general front‑of‑house inquiries. Maintain a clean, organized host station and entrance area; assist with side work as needed during shifts. Collaborate with managers and team members to ensure a smooth guest experience during peak sports events and busy service periods. Skills & Qualifications Qualifications Required Friendly, outgoing demeanor with strong customer service skills. Reliable availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays (typical restaurant peak hours). Basic communication and organizational skills; comfortable using a tablet or POS/reservation system. Ability to stand and move for extended periods and to navigate a busy dining room safely. Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass background checks as required. Preferred Previous experience as a host, hostess, or in customer service, especially in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Familiarity with reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable) or POS systems. Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) to better serve our East Valley guests. Willingness to obtain food safety or responsible alcohol service certification if requested.
