Responsibilities Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude, making them feel instantly welcomed. Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring smooth flow of seating arrangements. Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate timely seating and service. Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with seating arrangements, including accommodating special requests when possible. Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about the restaurant's offerings and reservation policies. Uphold guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive first impression. Keep the host/hostess station organized, clean, and well-stocked to support seamless operations during busy hours. Requirements Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; willingness to learn new technology is important. Experience in hospitality or guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor when interacting via phone or in person. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a lively, energetic presence during peak hours.
