POSITION OVERVIEW
: The Host/Hostess role is responsible for being the first point of contact for guests and creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. This position requires a motivated hospitality professional who is organized, passionate, and retains both a strong team-centered work ethic and a positive attitude. You will be an integral part of our service team who sets the stage for a memorable experience. You have a passion for food and beverage and you strive to provide exceptional hospitality to our guests. Your primarily responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The Host role also receives a complimentary shift meal and tips from takeout orders.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Approach all interactions and communications with guests and employees in an attentive, courteous and service-oriented manner Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon arrival Manage reservations and coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff for timely seating Maintain a neat and organized reception area Provide accurate wait times, monitor waiting lists, and escort guests to their tables Communicate effectively with guests to ensure their needs are met Willingness to listen to, understand, and clarify any concerns raised by employees and guests with a solution-oriented approach. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes adhering to the dress code Maximize efforts towards productivity while retaining focus on hospitality and a positive guest experience Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs Perform other related duties as requested by management and/or that supports the team Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations with composure. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus. Knowledge of reservation systems is an advantage. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform opening procedures, closing procedures, and side-work duties in accordance to checklist resources Ensure that tables, chairs, restaurant furniture is kept stocked, tidy and clean Ensure overall guest satisfaction and positive vibe is maintained

Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility at least 8 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to remain organized and remain calm during high-volume shifts. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing and visual accuracies.
