The Host is responsible for greeting guests promptly, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating seating in a courteous and efficient manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Warmly greet guests upon arrival with friendly and professional demeanor Manage the waitlist using reservation software or manual systems Assign tables based on party size, server rotation, and/or grill table availability Escort guests to tables Introduce and explain tier list menu to guests Explain basic Korean BBQ dining experience to new guests if needed Answer incoming calls, take reservations, and provide accurate information about restaurant, menu, or wait times Maintain cleanliness of entrance, host stand, and lobby at all times Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return Comply with health and safety regulations and follow restaurant policies Perform opening/running/closing shift tasks Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and professional appearance Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Ability to be professional and courteous with the general public Ability to exercise good judgment while working independently and collaboratively Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment Must be available to work evening, weekends, and holidays if needed

Valid ServSafe Food Handler's Certificate Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or restaurant-experience preferred 2 years of previous host experience

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 4-5 hours per shift) Be able to lift up to 20-25 pounds short distances (ie. high chairs, booster seats, small furniture, etc) Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate reservation systems, phones, and POS devices Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and twist occasionally when setting up or clearing the entrance or guest areas May be exposed to temperature fluctuations near doorways or grill tables
