Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with wine selections to enhance their experience Conduct engaging wine tastings, providing detailed descriptions and pairing suggestions Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine room, ensuring proper storage and handling of bottles Upsell wines and related products by highlighting features and benefits to increase sales Manage POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately and efficiently Support menu planning efforts by providing input on wine pairings and new offerings Ensure adherence to food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Assist with event setups, including catering or banquet functions involving wine service Handle cashing out customers, processing payments securely, and managing cash handling responsibilities Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or wine-focused settings Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests confidently and professionally Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety, meal preparation, and food handling procedures Experience with serving, catering, banquet setups, or event support is desirable Ability to upsell products effectively through sales techniques and menu knowledge Culinary experience or background in menu planning enhances your ability to recommend pairings Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this energetic role Join us as a Wine Room Host and become an integral part of creating extraordinary dining experiences.
