Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage guest seating, handle reservations, and ensure smooth flow within the restaurant or hospitality environment. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for exceptional guest service, making everyone feel valued and comfortable. This role is vital in fostering a lively, hospitable atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Toast and OpenTable Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously Skills Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in hospitality, hotel, or guest services enhances your ability to connect with guests Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest relations techniques Join our team to deliver outstanding hospitality experiences!
