Position Title:
Host Overall Responsibilities:
The Host is primarily responsible for greeting and seating all guests, arranging appropriate tables for large parties, answering phones, making and confirming reservations. Will be required to work flexible hours and report to work punctually. Must maintain a professional appearance at all times, be clean and well groomed as per the standards of the restaurant. Minimum wage plus tips are paid per shift. Major Duties of this
Position:
Reservation book management ensuring excellent guest experiences and maximum seating capability Answer all telephone calls and provide excellent telephone service. Recognize and greet all incoming guests, seating of guests and acknowledging guests upon departure. Arranging special request accommodations. Process gift card orders. Understands the basics of food allergies for guests' safety. Minimum one year experience as a fine dining restaurant host Must be able to maintain polite manner and speech. Must be able to handle multiple requests in a stressful environment.
Experience Required:
2 years Host experience in fine dining restaurant Other duties as assigned/requested by manager and wait staff. Must be able to accept constructive criticism professionally. High level proficiency in OpenTable reservation system. General computer/office proficiency in email, telephone, fax, Word and Excel Current Food Handlers certificate.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands include, but not limited to: bending, stooping, climbing and descending stairs, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, writing, and speaking Must be able to climb and descend stairs repeatedly during consecutive shifts Surfaces include, but not limited to: uneven surfaces, wooden/concrete floors and perforated rubber mats. Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for long periods of time throughout shift. Must be able to carry up to two service plates at one time.
