Job Description
Overview KINDRED is growing this summer and we are looking for a new part time Host / Maitre D to join our team. Please review the job details below and answer the questions as well. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly, positive attitude to make them feel comfortable and appreciated Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using OpenTable and Toast POS Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and timely service flow Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and clear communication Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating times and special requests Support guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and escalating issues when necessary Experience Previous Maitre D experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills Familiarity with OpenTable and Toast POS Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices Previous serving or food service experience is advantageous but not required
