Host/Front of House team member Pako's Bar and Grill South El Monte, CA 91733 $18 an hour - Part-time $18 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Front of House team member to create a vibrant and memorable experience for our guests. In this role, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring smooth guest flow, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operation of our restaurant. Your enthusiasm, communication skills, and hospitality expertise will help foster a warm environment where every guest feels valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, guest relations, and hospitality operations. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently to minimize wait times. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide accurate information about the menu, reservations, and services. Seat guests promptly, ensuring they receive attentive service from the moment they arrive. Assist with guest seating arrangements and coordinate with the kitchen staff to optimize table turnover. Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including host stand and waiting areas. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process reservations, takeout orders, or payments when needed. Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience. Experience Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong background in food service and customer service roles, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency. Experience in hotel or guest services is a plus, highlighting your ability to manage guest interactions professionally. Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
